"If you’ve ever dreamed of falling asleep under
English rose wallpaper,
there’s no finer place to fulfil your fantasies."
Though I have no doubt that those of English-descent reading this would strongly disagree, there is just a whiff of Marie Anotinette about the Cotswold's Temple Guiting Barn, whose guilded mirrors and damask couches invite days spent lounging about in satin gowns, nibbling on delicate pastries and sipping champagne. And yet, by the same token, the Barn couldn't possibly be more English - its gardens were designed by Chelsea Garden Show winner Jinny Blom and it boasts the HRH Prince Charles Pinnacle Award for its immaculate restoration. Hear hear!
