Travel | Port Vila, Vanuatu

"The best thing about Vanuatu, though, is that you feel safe and happy here."

My lovely readers - how I have missed you. I must apologise for my absence from the blogosphere over the last few days - I've been laid up in bed since the weekend with... Well, I'm not sure what it was, but it wasn't good! It's only today that I've felt I can actually look at a computer screen for more than a couple of minutes, write a quick update, and catch up on all of your own lovely blogs (although, with almost 200 hundred posts waiting on my bloglovin', I'm thinking it might take more than a day!) At the moment, I'm blaming my illness on New Zealand's truly awful summer - and dreaming of a tropical escape to sunny Vanuatu - just a hop, skip and a jump from my country's own damp and dreary islands. I think a few days spent lazing about Port Vila's  "faded French atmosphere, rambling streets and café scene" could be just what the doctor ordered, don't you?

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well. Heat can definitely make you feel nauseous. Good excuse to eat lots of icypoles! xx
