"Maison Margiela redefines luxury with mind-bending designs at Maison Champs-Elysees, Paris' hottest avant-garde hotel."
- Luxury Magazine
There's something about hotels decorated by fashion designers that I can't seem to resist. The Maison des Champs Elysees hotel, designed by Martin Margiela, is no exception. Minimal without being cold or sterile, the attention to detail at the Maison des Champs Elysees is nothing short of painstaking, the interiors "carefully orchestrated like a playful, provocative theatrical production". A townhouse from the exquisite Hausmann era, the hotel was once home to the Maison des Centraliens (a meeting place for students of the Ecole Centrale), and each of the uniquely decorated rooms is named for a former student of the school.

"Minimal without being cold", this is exactly the feeling I get viewing these images. I just love those book shelves!
