"The minimalist-by-the-sea look is a formula for a good reason."
As longtime readers of Andrea Reh will know, as much as I love luxurious hotels that offer an escape from reality, I have an equal fondness for hotels that could quite easily double as a home away from home - the sort of hotels from which you could take design cues for your own home. Zank Boutique Hotel in Salvador da Bahia, Brazil, is one such hotel. Despite the area's resort credentials, Zank has taken a minimalist approach to the decor of the hotel's twenty "apartments" and public spaces, off-set by charming details such as a small library stocked with cordel literature and original artwork and decorative pieces throughout the property.

I think I prefer the "home away from home" kind of hotels. Beautiful!
